Halona Capital was born by the desire to help people find financial freedom and fuel their dream lives. As we pride ourselves in working with the best operators, Halona Capital's principal, Eric Gillem, invests his own money into every single deal alongside you. OUR STORY
J. Eric Gillem started Halona Capital, LLC to find the best opportunities to invest his own capital and bring friends and family along who had been led astray by status quo investment strategies or financial planners that did not have their best interest in mind.

In 2006, while pursuing a degree in Construction Management with a focus on Real Property Development, Eric created Vista Riviera Development in Nicaragua. He found a piece of property, created a subdivision map, sourced investors, built roads, and legally subdivided the property. The property was ready to sell just in time for a dictator to be elected and the global economy to fall to pieces. An expensive learning experience but Eric learned from the mistakes and the fire had been lit to pursue a career in Real Estate Investing and Development.

After college Eric built a successful high-end custom construction company in Coronado, CA. The company built many beautiful custom homes but found their niche building small luxury multifamily condos. These speculative developments gave Eric the chance to learn the ins and outs of the development business.

Along the way Eric was able to start investing in deals across many real estate classes and began to see returns on a risk adjusted basis that the average investor in the stock market would die for. Creating Halona Capital, LLC gives Eric the opportunity to educate the common investor on their options and to help them create bigger, better lives through financial freedom.
